Tampa Bay is very well known for its beautiful Gulf Coast Beaches – the weather makes it a year round vacation. Desoto Park, has been featured in TV and magazine articles. It was named America’s #1 beach in 2005.
Clearwater Beach, is known for having the “most days of sunshine” according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Gorgeous, warm sunsets are a favorite feature of Clearwater Beach. Another Bay Area city is Tarpon Springs. It has the largest percentage of Greek-Americans of any city in the U.S. and is known as the “Sponge Capital of the World”. The city of Tampa alone has a very unique cultural heritage.
