Note: We have two wonderful young women living and ministering to children here and now we have an opportunity for another woman to enjoy living and ministering here with them.
This housing opportunity offers all utilities & wireless Internet included at no extra cost. This is not a normal rental offering, and special considerations apply. We are seeking a single woman who would enjoy working in the Eastown Ministries programs for 10 hours each week. This is part of the rental agreement which offers n this beautiful newly-restored Each tenant applicant has an opportunity to volunteer 10 hours in the Eastown Ministries programs to insure that they will enjoy working in the youth programs, and fill out a rental application.
Choose the hours of ministry operation on our web site and come on over, introduce yourself, and enjoy meeting the other volunteers.
When the local school is in normal session, the living room, dining room, and part of the basement is used from 3:00 - 5:30 pm Monday - Thursday. Tenants of this house along with other volunteers come to help neighborhood students complete their daily school homework.

You will select your hours to help with some of the Eastown Ministry programs as listed on our web site. You may select to work within whatever programs that you are qualified for, or interested in. You can select the time frame wherever needed, in whichever one you are skilled in and/or willing to learn more about. Your ideas will be welcomed; the house and kids are waiting for you.

To protect your privacy and enjoyment living in this house, the following expectations for Homework House tenants apply:
1. The house is not to be used as a "student party house" by the tenants. This means no social events with more than six visitors, no smoking, no alcoholic beverages, and no illegal drugs shall be made, consumed, used, distributed, or sold in the house.
2. Behavior or language that would be considered against "Accepted Christian Principles", or that would provide a bad example to the teenagers of the Eastown Ministries will not be accepted by the tenants or their visitors in this house, on this property, or on the Eastown Ministries property, located next door at 610 Benjamin S.E. The tenants shall not have visitors of the opposite gender visiting the upstairs, private part of the house, or stay over night anywhere in the house.
3. The tenants shall be considered as supporting, unpaid volunteers of the Eastown Ministries programs, and shall accept the direction of Jim and Carol Carpenter, the Directors of the Eastown Ministries, or their representative when working in the ministry's programs.
4. The tenants shall not allow participants of the Eastown Ministries programs, who are under 18 years of age, to enter the second floor of the homework house where the tenants have their personal property, or in the Homework House without the permission of Jim and Carol
5. The tenants shall provide a record each month of their hours tutoring students, and helping in the youth programs when they pay their rent. These hours are considered a part of their rent payment.
