Rosemead is a city just outside of Los Angeles. It's in a densely populated metropolitan area that's filled with nightlife and entertainment. Homes for rent in the area are near many amenities. Montebello Town Center is shared between Rosemead and Montebello. It has boutiques, department stores and a food court. For high-end shopping, residents can walk down Rodeo Drive in nearby Beverly Hills. There are also several famous dance and music clubs in the area, like The Room Hollywood and Avalon, which are perfect for a night out on the town.

Rosemead has several colleges. Pasadena City College and University of the West both have campuses in the city. University of the West is a Buddhist college known for both its religious and business studies programs. Rosemead School of Psychology was founded in the city, though its campus is now in a neighboring town.
The first settlers in the area were John and Harriet Guess, who built a ranch in 1855 on what is now the Savannah School. A man named Leonard Rose came soon after and opened a ranch for training and breeding horses. He named it Rose's Meadow, which was shortened later into Rosemead and adopted as the city's name.
The city was incorporated in 1959. It slowly moved from rabbit and chicken ranches to industrial businesses. Headquarters for several large companies are now located in the city, like Panda Express and Huy Fong Foods.
