Location, location, location!
This is one of two basement units at 52 Garden street - across the street from the Radcliffe Quad (and Harvard shuttle stop), about a 7-8 minute walk from the Harvard Graduate School of Education on Appian Way, 4-5 minute walk to Harvard Law, 10 minute walk to Harvard Square T and buses. It's just blocks from the nearby Harvard Botanic Gardens preschool, Graham & Parks public elementary school, and the bus stop for other Cambridge public schools is just across the end of the block.
This three bedroom, two bathroom unit is a well laid out 1335 square feet, and natural light is very surprisingly good for a basement unit - every room has at least one window. The bedrooms are around a corner from the living room for great separation of sound and space; both bathrooms are quite spacious; there's built-in storage and shelving in the living room, and a little office nook at the end of the hallway. As a basement unit, there are exposed (sealed) pipes running across the ceiling, that heat the space really well, so you don't have to worry about warmth in the winter! Being in the basement allows kids to run and jump to their hearts' content, plus laundry is just down the hall, as is the storage cage, a bike room, and the door to the backyard.
