Located on Route 135 in central western Long Island, Bethpage is a hamlet in the town of Oyster Bay. Twenty minutes from the beach at Oyster Bay by car and just over an hour from Manhattan by train, Bethpage is a great location for families looking to move out of the city to a more suburban community. Homes for rent in Bethpage are on quiet, residential roads with other families. Not only are the schools close enough to bike to, but so is Bethpage State Park, the large, wooded park at the heart of Long Island. You won't feel any of the city's congestion when you're hiking, playing tennis or watching a little league game in this natural gem.
Important Information for Future Renters
Unlike many of the other towns on Long Island, Bethpage isn't along the water, but that doesn't mean that Bethpage doesn't have some of the best summer and outdoor recreation in the area. The Bethpage Black Course is the most respected of the five golf courses that are part of Bethpage State Park. It's even hosted PGA events. Also nearby is a polo field and the Bethpage Bikeway.
Bethpage is part of Oyster Bay. The town stretches from the south to the north shore of the island and features 18 villages and 18 hamlets.
