The union of Dallas and Fort Worth in north Texas has created a destination filled with job opportunities, urban conveniences and cultural centers that help to enhance the quality of life of the area's residents. With these hubs anchoring the vast region, suburbs of all sorts have sprung up around the periphery where today new residents can found home for rent. One of the more unique options is the the planned community of Lantana, Texas, an upscale community and one of the more popular areas in Fort Worth. The relatively new town did not receive its first residents until the summer of 2001. Since then, the somewhat exclusive area has seen its population grow to nearly 8,000 residents, and rentals are available for those planning a move to north Texas.
Like all of the homes in Lantana, houses for rent are arranged around an 18-hole golf course that was designed by the award-winning architect Jay Morrish. Some of the properties ring around the outside of the course, while others are located in small neighborhoods at the center of the Lantana Golf Club. Keeping with the country club theme, the community also offers its residents amenities, including four community swimming pools, two fitness centers, playgrounds, tennis courts, hiking and biking trails and parks.
Grapevine Lake is situated just two miles south of Lantana, while Lewisville Lake sits just two miles to the east. The latter, one of the largest lakes in north Texas, is a popular destination for residents and those with rentals throughout the region, and can become quite crowded during the summer. The lake features six marinas and two restaurants, and hosts a large fishing tournament each year. Between the nature in the area, and the two giant cities that sit just more than 20 miles south, Lantana offers recreation and entertainment to residents with all kinds of interests.
