Description
139 Meadows Ln
Will discount rent to $1.500 monthly for single occupancy lease with no pets. This house is designed to appear like an old barn, the inside also has some unusual features related to a barn. It can be rented for 6 or 12 months, with opportunity to extend for multiple years. House can be seen by appointment. Prospective tenants can make requests for specific modifications as part of their agreement to lease the house. Occupant will not be allowed to make mechanical or artistic changes to the house without approval. There are 3 stories. On the ground floor, there is a utility room that also has a toilet and a shower. That leads to the kitchen, and then the main room downstairs, which has some interesting barn wood trim. There is a spiral staircase going upstairs inside the house. There is also a more traditional staircase on the first floor deck which leads to the second floor deck. There are decks on all three floors. The second floor has two nice bedrooms which are the same size and almost the same decor, though the colors are a bit different in them. The south one is summer colors and the north one is winter. Each of the two second floor bedrooms have a granite vanity and sink. In between those bedrooms is the landing for the spiral stairs, plus the stairs to the third floor and also the second floor bathroom, which has a shower/tub, and of course a sink and a toilet. The third floor is mainly for stylistic purposes, it is a traditional cupola with its own little deck. It is a nice spot far up in the trees. You could use it as a third bedroom or an office, or just close the hatch and block it off if you do not need the space. That room also has a very nice vanity, mirror and light fixture. It has a futon, which will stay with the house. The house may especially appeal to work from home professionals. The mechanicals of the house are all new. Multiple routers and hard wire connections in all the main rooms means wifi everywhere connected to higher speed internet. Many of the materials are used, such as barnwood I personally removed from the old Travis family barn east of Dorchester, (the land that time forgot). We also have some lovely items that came from very expensive homes that were being remodeled. The list includes mirrors, vanities, light fixtures and granite countertops. We used antique doors throughout most of the house, some came from a farm house, some came out of an old school building in Oklahoma. One came from India! We have barn doors that lead to nowhere, kindly supplied to us from a local farm. While the house does respect building codes and works like a normal house, this is NOT your basic suburban home and does not look remarkably like most of the other homes in the U.S. The house is well insulated and rather shaded under the trees. It is warm in the winter and cool in the summer when you run your units. It is about 10 minutes to Pottsboro, 20 minutes to Denison WalMart, and about half a mile to the water (Lake Texoma). The only road is in and out, so there is not a lot of traffic. The house is partially furnished, and does not have much space for furniture. The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator and microwave which come with the house. The utility room has a smaller refrigerator, washer and dryer which also stay. There are some other items that will stay as well, like the armoires in the second floor bedrooms stay for sure. There is room for just a little furniture on the first floor. There are 4 very expensive stools (2 downstairs, and 1 in each bedroom) that should stay. It will not take a lot of stuff to be able to move in, all you really need is your beds on the second floor. We can help move your beds to the second floor bedrooms for you. Like all good barns have, there is a built in pulley system to lift heavy items to the second floor. The house has two lean-tos (garages), half of one (north) holds tools and materials for the house (things like old doors, barnwood and paint specific to the house), and
