Kansas City is famous for scrumptious barbecue and juicy steaks. With more than 90 barbecue restaurants in the area, Kansas Citians gather at the “world's biggest barbecue contest” every autumn. The official nickname “City of Fountains” stems from the abundance of fountains spread around the city. The Country Club Plaza has the largest concentration.
