Facts for Renters
Every year Riverbank hosts the Cheese and Wine Exposition. There are tastings throughout the weekend, and over a dozen wineries from all over California are featured. The festival also has live music, food, arts and crafts, vendors, and a children's area with a petting zoo.
Residents can find a night of fun at the Luxury+ Theater in the city. The cinema features plush reclining chairs with personal tables and reserved seating. There are also special screenings for events like the Metropolitan Opera and classic movies.
The city was originally known as Burneyvilleâ. Mariposa sheriff James Burney pushed for residents to build the Burneyville Ferry over the Stanislaus River, which helped bring commerce to the area. The site is now home to a modern bridge.
