Important Information for Future Renters
- Pembina's prospective residents have many reasons to live in the community, including the dropping tax rates, strong flood defense, great public services (schools, police, fire) and the lack of need for a commute - most jobs are within walking distance.
- Pembina was the starting location for Native American buffalo hunts for hundreds of years. When the Europeans first found it in the late 1700s, they established a trading post. First the post was run by the French then the Hudson Bay Company. Although Hudson was British and Pembina was established as American following the Treaty of Ghent, it was largely an international community for decades. Although it's now wholly American, in a lot of ways it still is an international community.
