Norcross is a suburb located about 20 miles northeast of Atlanta, just outside the perimeter. Despite its proximity to the big city, Norcross has only about 10,000 residents within its city limits. Norcross lies on the Easter Continental Divide and is Gwinnett County's second-oldest city. The city has several technology and business parks and holds the headquarters for The Athlete's Foot. Headquarters for Waffle House are just outside the city. Norcross also holds the corporate office for RockTenn, a paper and packaging manufacturer, as well as offices for Wells Real Estate Fund and EMS Technologies.
Norcross has been designated as a "Tree City USA" and offers a Historic Tree Walk as well as ghost tours. The town also hosts several festivals, including the BluesBerry Festival, BIKEFEST and the Norcross Art Fest. Norcross celebrates local baseball history and culture through the Norcross Baseball Hall of Fame, which is open for visitation. Additionally, the city has a Kudzu Art Zone for kids to explore the arts. Downtown Norcross features numerous local treats and activities, including the Norcross Station Cafe, a restaurant in a restored train depot, and the Lionheart Theatre, home of The Lionheart Company.
If you're looking for houses for rent in Norcross, the city has plenty surrounding the many parks, including Thrasher Park, Rossie Brundage Park and South Peachtree Pocket Park. If you work off of Peachtree Parkway or Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, two hubs for business and retail in the area, numerous Norcross rental homes are available off of those roads as well. One of the most popular areas for homes for rent in Norcross may be Peachtree Station, located just off of Peachtree Corners Circle. If you're looking for a more central location, you may want to look downtown, where Norcross houses and apartments for rent are situated walking distance from well-renowned restaurants, such as the Norcross Station Cafe and Dominick's.
